The children's author David Walliams dropped by longtime publisher.
Acclaimed young adult author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.
An official for the firm commented: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was reached following an investigation into claims about inappropriate behaviour involving women.
The publisher has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies internationally in dozens of tongues.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
To date, he has released in excess of 40 works combined, including a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
