Plane Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window
An aircraft transporting Pete Hegseth was required to make an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday after a crack was discovered in the plane's windshield, per an official statement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.
"The jet landed in accordance with standard procedures and all individuals on the flight, among them Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a press officer stated in a social media post.
He was traveling back from a brief trip to the Belgian capital during the flight.
This event is not the first occasion that a American defense plane transporting a senior official has encountered mechanical issues.
In a previous incident this year, a US Air Force plane transporting the US Secretary of State to Munich was required to head back to Washington DC after encountering a mechanical fault.
