British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Lagos Following Fatal Car Crash
Olympic gold medalist Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, local government spokespeople stated on Wednesday evening. The fighter was caught in a vehicular crash near Lagos on December 29th, a horrific crash that claimed the lives of two of his valued colleagues.
Recovering from Minor Injuries
The boxer had been receiving medical attention while recuperating from non-critical injuries, his management team stated earlier on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on X that Joshua was judged healthy enough to leave and heal privately.
“Joshua and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two deceased friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” Omotosho said.
Honoring the Deceased
The two men who died were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. The official further stated that the boxer was “heavy-hearted and full of emotions over the loss of his two dear friends.”
This update on his health follows the global fight fans had expressed condolences for the champion in the wake of the terrible crash.
